From our "day in the life" shoot for Total 911.....

The RS hot rod made it to Europe..

Many of you have probably seen the RS clone in Magnus his workshop a while ago. He picked up the car for me last February, and I drove it around SoCal for 2 weeks in March. A great adventure I have to say. After my working-holiday in L.A. Magnus started work on the car for me and after doing a bunch of proper test drives he shipped it off to The Netherlands last July. The car arrived a little while ago and is now ready for DMV import inspection, to which I'll be going tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

Here's a photo of today, running around the Dutch country side. Autumn is kicking in and it sure helps with taking a few cool photos. Click to enlarge..... -M.

THE BACK STORY..

way back in january of this year i recieved an e-mail from a canadian film director by the name of TAMIR MOSCOVICI,

he had read MAURICES article about me in TOTAL 911,

i replied back to him & included a link to my PELICAN PARTS * OUTTA CONTROL HOBBY POST*-


A Few E-mails & a phone call or 2 later TAMIR expressed his interest in coming down to LA to film a 5-7 short documentry film on me & my cars,

being a film maker he knew that there may be more to my story that had printed!

so a month or so later we met up for the first time at 7 AM on the first day of our
4 day shoot, Tamir had hired a 6 person local crew & we set about shooting what would become URBAN OUTLAW.

it was shot on a shoe string budget over 4 fun filled days in & around LA,
on a handshake & leap of faith.

this was my first time in front of the camera!

neither of us knew where this would end up...

in late may we relaesed the 3 minute trailer URBAN OUTLAW ...viewd over 1.5 millon times.

BAR WHERE WE MEET SOME NEW FOUND FRIENDS FOR THE FIRST TIME,

SOME FLEW IN FROM EUROPE & AS FAR WAY AS LA !

MOST I HAD NOT MET BUT HAD BEEN "ON LINE FRIENDS"
