Euro trip

Magnus is currently doing a short tour across Germany and The Netherlands... Last Friday we did a run with about a 100 cars in Rotterdam, and the Porsche Fest followed the weekend after. I took this pic with the camera of Daniel Schafer from Heckmotor Sportwagen, also in the pic is Matthias Hoeing from Hoeing Sportmotoren.. Great weekend for sure!!

The Topanga spin out...

These are the skidmarks I left behind after spinning Magnus his #277 on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, going south to Malibu / PCH.... After visiting Chad McQueen, having breakfast at the Rock Store, and doing some spirited runs on Mulholland Highway, we went back to Los Angeles on a chilly but nice Sunday morning... I came into a lefthander too fast and the back came around... I won't go into the details here, but we missed the guardrail by an inch... Another fun day in L.A........

The RS hot rod made it to Europe..

Many of you have probably seen the RS clone in Magnus his workshop a while ago. He picked up the car for me last February, and I drove it around SoCal for 2 weeks in March. A great adventure I have to say. After my working-holiday in L.A. Magnus started work on the car for me and after doing a bunch of proper test drives he shipped it off to The Netherlands last July. The car arrived a little while ago and is now ready for DMV import inspection, to which I'll be going tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

Here's a photo of today, running around the Dutch country side. Autumn is kicking in and it sure helps with taking a few cool photos. Click to enlarge..... -M.

72 STR SUSPENSION INSTALL

THE DAY IS FINALLY HERE....

AFTER GATHERING ALL THE HANDLE BETTER 

SUSPENSION PARTS MANY OF WHICH HAVE BEEN UPGRADED,LIGHTNED,STIFFENED,POWDEROCOATED....

 

well you get the idea...

it was time to lay them out next to my 72 STR 002 & Get them installed on the car..

THIS IS THE STUFF THAT ENABLES YOU TO KEEP YOUR FOOT FIRMLY PLANTED....

which results in making you go faster...

 

this morning we removed the old suspension...

 

  just laying this stuff out takes time....
