THE MAKING OF DESERT OUTLAW

El Mirage Lake is a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California. The lake is located about 9 miles west-northwest of the town of Adelanto and 10 mi north of Highway 18 in San Bernardino County.

 

 

that's 95 miles from DTLA.....

i was lucky to be invited along  by some great friends 

who just happened to be filming there,

naturally i said yes & hoped into  car # 277.

high desert landscape.

by 6 pm i was on the famous dry lake bed.

 the first few minutes are a little disorientating & take some getting used to.

its a little like being snow blinded...

 driving is just as strange with minimal reference points , a lot of dust & not much grip....

                             DIRT DONT SLOW YA DOWN...

 

dust is everywhere,espically when being followed by the A TEAM camera truck...

 so i did a few runs chased by the camera guys who were rolling for an upcoming short video bit..

just another sunday

took car # 277 up my favorite road ACH early sunday morning,

 needed to shake out the cobwebs on me & the car.

 get out & drive your favorite road

my favorite car # 277 is back in the garage

having been on a road trip -tour to North Carolina to attend the NCMA Porsche by Design Exhibit, a track day at VIR,shot a short video & then went up to Toronto Canada for the PORSCHE CENTER OAKVILLE opening last week

 

 

 

sure is good to have it back :)

its been another fun filled busy week of film & magazine shoots.

thursday i took 277 back up the crest to film a segment for

ROADS & RIDES.

it was a day of multi camera set ups & a run up to Newcombs ranch & back.
