Yea, I got one of the original 924's that came over on the first shipment. I'm torn between slicing off the rubber and compressing the mounts Vs. leaving it stock. Personally, I'd love to do it, but I respect the history of what it is. If it was a later 924 like a 77+ it would have been done already. Part of me is like f-it, it's my car, but the other side is like leave her alone. The car has already been through a lot with engine upgrades and such as it is. It's a tough call.
Hey John, Well it's been a long few years with this car. Since this post I have upgraded almost everything that can be done. I've taken everything Porsche could have done and gone to the next level, gaining a bit of a following as I go. From Electrical upgrades, Ignition, Exhaust, Throttle body and intake mods,.. I have still yet to decide what the exterior is however I am leaning towards rear Carrera Fenders, and a front fender and hood replacement from a 968, prolly fiberglass or if I can swing it carbon fiber, either way, will be lighter up front possible bringing it to a true 50/50 weight balance. love your cars and your style. Im sure you'll make this one great-or keep it as it is. Either way enjoy. Ive had about ten of these from a 924, 924s, 944 and 400hp 944 turbo. All great cars.
The 924 'ista will be after you! I see one of our members already spotted it. She is a lovely clean example, is this after much work or did she come in such great condition?
Hello Magnus, great find! I really like the "classic" profile of the 924 versus the beefed-up look of the 944. I would love to see a review by you on your 924 turbo including some video scenes with cool music and engine sounds.
Hey Magnus, love the 924! Have had one for 2 years now and never looked back. Totally underrated for what they are, a perfectly balanced fun car to drive. Would love to see some video footage of your fine example, there just isn't enough out there. This classic deserves to be acknowledged.
Welcome to the world of 924! I love my '77 copper metallic with brown plaid interior. Such a stunning and simple design. Enjoy your new ride. Really looking forward to more posts about your 924.

DeleteHi, you might achieve the same by swapping out the US parts for Euro bumper irons and bumpers, and all would be reversable?
