THE MAKING OF DESERT OUTLAW

El Mirage Lake is a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California. The lake is located about 9 miles west-northwest of the town of Adelanto and 10 mi north of Highway 18 in San Bernardino County.

 

 

that's 95 miles from DTLA.....

i was lucky to be invited along  by some great friends 

who just happened to be filming there,

naturally i said yes & hoped into  car # 277.

high desert landscape.

by 6 pm i was on the famous dry lake bed.

 the first few minutes are a little disorientating & take some getting used to.

its a little like being snow blinded...

 driving is just as strange with minimal reference points , a lot of dust & not much grip....

                             DIRT DONT SLOW YA DOWN...

 

dust is everywhere,espically when being followed by the A TEAM camera truck...

 so i did a few runs chased by the camera guys who were rolling for an upcoming short video bit..

porsche PIOM 2013 classic/exclusive workshop

Last weekend we hosted a 2 day workshop with PORSCHE classic/exclusive at our DTLA loft..

over 250 world wide dealer/importers attended the event.

the workshop was in 2 parts & covered Porsche classic & exclusive departments -hosted by Alex & Karl with an appearance by yours truly ,along with a Porsche Design presentation by Mitja  covering the design end of Porsche cars.. 

including the new Mecan..

Alex & Karl talked about what Porsche Exclusive & Classic departments have to offer to the 75 people or so that were seated were my cars are usually stored...

after a sneak peak of the upcoming Desert outlaw video i drove car # 277 into the garage & talked about my Porsche Passion...

it was a true Honor to have been part of this workshop & for the opportunity to welcome all the world wide Porsche dealers into our DTLA space...
